what is the average cost of carpet with installation, 115 sq ft

If this isn't a typo, for 115 sq. ft. of carpet, I would recommend buying good quality carpet tiles, 24 inches square and laying them yourself. It would take about an hour. Make sure you match the grain of the weave so they look good. Hiring someopne to do that small a job would be cost prohibitive. Good luck.

Typically about $3-4/SF assuming no existing flooring has to come up.

As stated elsewhere, this is a tiny area - I would consider an area rug rather than carpet if a normal sized area and not a hall - then no installation labor - just $150 on up depending on rug quality. Available at carpet shops and box stores, and home improvement stores.
