what is the average cost of replacing a 38 gal. gas water heater in Manchester, NH?

Simple swap out. Down 6 stairs Via a bulkhead and replaced with a 40 gal. Bradford White with power vent(I don't know the model number). I will be removing the old tank myself. Thank you!

Amoskeag, are you asking how much a plumber would charge? If so, you need to ask plumbers in your area for estimates. However, if you're removing the tank yourself, how much more difficult would it be to attach the new one. . .yourself? Maybe you have a friend or two who will help you get the old one up the stairs and the new one down the stairs. There are plenty of DIY sites on the internet, many of them with very specific video instructions.
