Question DetailsAsked on 10/10/2017

what are my options if I'm not 100% satisfied with the Angie's List contractor I hired?

I'd like to follow up with LCDs response and provide additional information.

The contractor removed the sub-contractor that was doing such lousy work installing the siding and everything else. Unfortunately for me, it took 8 days before he realized that the sub-contractor wasn't going to meet both of our expectations. I suspected all along that this wasn't the crew that was supposed to originally start the project. He did not admit to me until the new crew showed up yesterday that they were supposed to do the project, but they got held up on another job. He made the mistake of hiring another crew to start the project because my house sat with no siding, soffit, fascia or window wraps for 2 weeks, and he didn't want me to wait any longer.

The 2-man crew that showed up yesterday installed more siding and soffit in 1 day than the entire 3-4 man crew did in 8 days.

I will continue this in yet another question since I'm running out of room.

Sounds like he realizes his mistake and agrees the original work was substandard - so work with him, and immediately get with him on what first subcontractor work you consider unsuitable and needing rework, because his new crew may need to do some rework before they can progress with completing the job.

Good Luck
