Day Lily. The regular orange ones, not hybred. They are often referred to as "roadside daylily". They tolerate drought and self multiply. They are sold very by the bag, very cheap at Cosco. Or, look under roadside, orange daylily. Many sellers are selling large quantities in a "lot". I have what I call "the eBay garden" at my house. Great source to buy and to learn about plants!

Sorry, I omitted, look under roadside daylily . . . . . on EBAY! It's a great source.

I'd Google "Texas wildflowers" and see what comes up. Likely there will be many choices. I've always found the various colors of Lantana to be very heat tolerant.
