what size tile to use in a small bathroom floor

We have remodeled three homes and larger patterns are better for small spaces. A lot of folks think; "small room, small pattern", but it is just the opposite, if you are trying to make the room look more spacious.

I agree with the previous guest answer--larger is better. Just talked to tile sales/installer yesterday who recommended this same solution to small floor. AND, less grout to seal and clean is better too! I would suggest laying tile on the diagonal which also makes rooms appear larger.
