You can find lots of articles about this by googling - EDTA.


Here is a Hational Institute of Health flyer on its use for heart disease, indicating there is no statistical benefit shown to its use.


This is a compound that is approved by the FDA ONLY or heavy metal removal, in cases of heavy metal poisoning, so use of it for plaque removal would be "off-label" - an unapproved use that has not gone through FDA testing and approval process for that use.


You don't say who "he" is - if your doctor, your call on whether to use an untested medication ofr this - there are other drugs out there already tested and approved for placque control, so in your place I certainly would not. If "he" is some friend or acquaintance or phone seller or such who is not your doctor, why would you follow medicval advice from a non-medical professional.
