Browse All Questions defaults to the most popular ones on the site - the ones with the most responses. If you look right above the Featured Question (top one on the list), you will see a small gray pulldown menu - by default it says Sort By Popularity, which is what it is presenting. Click on that, and you can choose Sort By Best Answer or Sort By Most Recent from the pulldown menu - the latter is what you want for the most recent questions.

The above procedure gives you the most recent questions all across Angies List - all categories, from most recent to older as you work down the list and through the pages. Going back to Jan 2013, or instance, will probably require you scan through a lot of pages - 50 pages gets you back a month, so you are possibly looking at about maybe 1100 pages maybe of about 22 questions average per page - or maybe 24,000 questions assuming the same Q&A posting rate, which is probably optomistic, but gives you a ballpark of how many you are looking at. I guess you are in Buffalo and need something to read to make it till spring and all that snow melts, huh ?. Total, since AL started about 1996 (don't know if their question numbering started then or about 1999 when it went on the internet), there have been almost 127,000 questions and answers on the site, as evidenced by the ID number at the end of the URL, as each question and each answer gets a unique file ID number.

Perhaps more useful to you would be to find your desired category in Browse Projects (which should actually be called browse prior questions) at lower left, and click on that to narrow your viewing to one specific subject - like say Home > Electrical for instance. You still have the same three sort choices at the top pulldown menu - to sort by most popular, view answers rated as Best Answer in the category, or sort by Most Recent questions in that category. In the latter, the questions are sorted by question posting date, NOT by when the most recent answer was.

You can also select specific topics by putting appropriate keywords in the Ask box next to the Angie cartoon character, and as you enter key words (or enter them and hit the Ask button) it will pop up up to about 5 related questions that the search engine thinks are related, along with the text boxes to fill in your question if you do not find what you want there. Try severall combinations of keywords to better narrow down the suggestions to ones specific to your need.

You can also, for a more definitive search with sometimes better search results, google a search phrase like the following for example - repair garbage disposal angies list - and then scan through the results for the questions that appear to best match your issue. It is important to add the phrase "angies list" to the end of the search phrase or you will get a lot of hits from other sites too, which may well be very useful but will not be from AL.

One other hint - if you add the phrase - images for - or - photos of - or - closeup of - before your search term, the (generally) first hit on google will be to a link to hundreds or thousands of images of (photos and drawings) or photos only or closeup photos of the thing you are looking for, each with links to the webpage the full size photo or image is included in. For instance, a recent question was looking for how one and two-door garages would look on a house - so you would search for - photos for garage door - for instance. If you did not find what you were looking for, refine the search term - like in that case maybe to - images for carriage house garage doors.

Hi, this is Meranda with Angie's List.

There are dozens of questions and answers, including this one, submitted every day. The main landing page populates the most popular ones — and those older ones continue to be popular. You can always see the most recent posts by changing the sort order to "Most Recent" from "Most Popular."

You also can dive deeper into specific categories of interest by using the menu on the side of the page to navigate to those areas.

I hope that helps!
