1) sometimes direct from A/C manufacturer's online store

2) HVAC supply houses

3) for the most common sizes, Home Depot or Lowes

4) local electrical/electronics parts suppliers

5) local electrical motor dealers/shops (not most regular electrical supply shops like you would go to for house wiring and such, but commercial equipment electric motor dealers)

6) online HVAC parts suppliers - just google the part number or rating

You will need the exact coding off the capacitor - manufacturer name and part number would be very helpful because supplier can typically look that up in a cross-reference book to see what current manufacturer matching part number is.

My recommendation - get a brand-name capacitor for maybe $10-15 moire than chinese knock - a lot of the foreign electronic junk does not perform right. With capacitors especially, if it "bleeds" capacitance then it will not have the stored energy needed at startup time and the motor will wear out faster - don't be penny wise and risk damaging a motor (or two if dual-start capacitor) that might cost you a half to a full thousand $ to replace if it goes out prematurely due to saving a few bucks on a $20-50 part. Plus name-braneone is likely to last far longer than a knockoff.
