Question DetailsAsked on 7/14/2015

who would remove a small orchard almond/cherry in exchange for fire wood?

Two acre orchard 1 almond and 1 cherry. Need to remove the trees. Trees are dead already. Don't have the funds to pay for removal, I would let you keep the wood in exchange for the removal.

Here are a number of recent responses to that question, most with further links (some of which will be repeats with other response links) -

Bear in mind, from a regulatory compliance standpoint, if clearing a large area or bulk of trees on property make sure there is not an ordinance regarding having to maintain a certain percentage area or number of trees on your property. From a regulatory and liability standpoint, to avoid having it called a commercial logging operation (though might still be if more than a certain amount of land being cleared) and to be covered by their insurance and bonding, generally better to pay them a nominal amount for the job, so they are acting as a contractor to you rather than you selling them the wood.

For commercial removal as a service for fee, Tree Service is your Search the List category.
