Hopefully the windows you purchased from Pella were of good quality. If that is the case then it is very possible that the installer did not insulate around them or caulk them correctly. A good insulated window, that is installed correctly should not have air coming around it. Often times people purchase products through big Box Stores and then have "handy men" install them. I hope this was not the case. As the inherent problem is many of the "handy men" have not been properly trained to install windows. This causes many problems in the industry. I always suggest that people purchase windows from a company that actually specializes in replacement windows. Then if there is a problem they can go back to the same company for service and for any issues that happen. Good luck moving forward. I hope this helps.
